The beaches of Jacksonville are full of fun, charm, and serene beauty. Homes for sale at the beaches aren’t just those multi-million dollar homes overlooking the water. They’re beautiful bungalow-style homes, condos, townhomes, single-family homes, and more! Whether you’re a surfer, a swimmer, a sunbather, or just love being near the water, you are going to love the Jacksonville beaches.
There are three main beaches that make up the Jacksonville Beach area. They’re known as Jacksonville “Jax” Beach, Atlantic Beach, and Neptune Beach. Each has its own unique feel and friendly culture.
Homes in Jax Beach have a median list price of just under $500,000. While it’s not an inexpensive place to live in terms of home price, homes often hold their value here (because the ocean isn’t going anywhere anytime soon!). You’ll love how close you are the shops, restaurants, grocery stores, and tons of entertainment!
Of course, the summers are hot! Typically in the mid to high 80s during the summer, you’ll find the weather ranges from 48 degrees to 90 degrees. With a very short winter, most of your year can be spent outside (apart from the typical afternoon rain shower).
Aquilus is an oceanfront condominium neighborhood in Jax Beach. This upscale complex consists of three different buildings with condos ranging from 1,1778 to 3,646. There’s parking for each unit, a fitness center, a community pool, and don’t forget the ocean!
Ocean Cay is a beautiful neighborhood just a few blocks from the ocean. The homes range from 1,700-2,900 square feet and are mostly built around the year 2000. With 180 homes all moderately priced, you’re only a few blocks from shopping and dining. The neighborhood amenities include a large community pool and clubhouse.
Rip Tide is a palm-filled neighborhood just a mile from the Atlantic Ocean. An older neighborhood, the homes are well maintained ranging from 1,500-3,000 square feet. With easy access to J. Turner Butler Blvd., dining, shopping, a large city park, and a playground with basketball courts, this neighborhood is convenient and affordable!
Atlantic Beach is a gorgeous beach town on the Atlantic Ocean. The woods of Hannah Park are nearby for nature lovers and the marshes along the Intracoastal Waterway allow for fishing, kayaking, and some beautiful views. Shopping and nightlife are abundant, and because Atlantic Beach stretches only about 25 blocks, you’ll find this close-knit community of about 14,000 residents to be a perfect blend of fun and serenity.
Mostly single-family homes, some townhomes and duplexes, you’ll find lots of preserved parks and acre after acre of land used for recreational purposes.
Ocean Village is a condo community and it’s just steps from the beach. Situated on the ocean, many of the homes include a view of the ocean itself. Built in 1974, these homes range from 1,300-1,900 square feet. They have two or three bedrooms, enclosed porches, and a beautiful community pool. You’ll find shopping, dining, and schools nearby.
Sea Gardens is another oceanfront community, this time townhomes with a private boardwalk down to the sandy white beach. Secluded nestled under a beautiful canopy of trees, the units include private porches and beautiful views. The community oceanfront deck, covered parking, and outdoor shopping make living on the ocean a breeze.
Oceanwalk is a residential neighborhood just south of Hanna Park. With 250 homes only a block or two from the beach, you’ll find properties with mature landscaping and plenty of space, homes ranging from 1,900 to well over 4,000 square feet. With its own community pool and private beach access, you can walk right over the dune to the sandy beaches.
Neptune Beach is the baby of the three Jacksonville beach neighborhoods. With approximately 7,000 residents, it’s a small community-oriented area. High-quality living means beautiful single-family residential homes with entertainment, shops, and restaurants on beautiful brick streets with manicured landscaping. Jarboe Park is a perfect park for gatherings featuring a duck pond, tennis courts, beach volleyball courts, a fitness trail, a huge playground, and a basketball court.
Neptune by the Sea is a wonderful neighborhood located in the heart of Neptune Beach. The homes are between 2 and 4 bedrooms with generously sized lots. A few blocks from the beach and close to shopping and dining, this neighborhood is ideal for homebuyers who want to live near the beach in an affordable community.
Secluded Woods is a residential neighborhood hiding in a canopy of trees. With about 70 homes, you’ll get beautiful beach living here. Built in the 80s and 90s, they range from 1,800-2,600 square feet. Conveniently located close to Neptune Beach Elementary School, shopping, and fine dining. It’s only a few blocks from the ocean, Jarboe Park, and Hanna Park!
Entertainment at The Beachers
The best part of the beaches is the entertainment! You’ll find the Beaches Museum to be an interactive, informative, and intriguing look at the history of Jacksonville’s beaches. The Jacksonville Beach Golf Club is the perfect place to play and is one of the only open access courses on the beach. Players By the Sea is a first-class community theatre open for shows and auditions on the beach! The Seawalk Pavillion is a gorgeous outdoor pavilion that hosts concerts, festivals, outdoor movies, and fun for everyone! Of course, there are brewery and distillery tours and tons of restaurants.
