One of the greatest things about living in Jacksonville, Florida is the weather. You can enjoy a waterpark, the beach and many outdoor activities just about every day of the year. Yes, there are a few colder days here and there, but for the most part, the sun is shining and the temperatures are perfect.

The great weather makes it possible to enjoy Adventure Landing's Shipwreck Island most days out of the year. This is one of the top attractions in the area and provides an alternative to the beach.

The half-million gallon wave pool is one of the main attractions, along with the Little St. John's river and the four water slides. You can enjoy an entire day here and make sure to ride all four slides including:

  • Hydro Half-Pipe
  • Eye of the Storm
  • The Rage
  • The Undertow

When your hand start to wrinkle and you need some time away from the water, you can enjoy the mini-golf course, arcade, and go-cart track. The arcade isn't just a few video games in the corner, but a full arcade with all types of games. All the go-carts are NASCAR licensed carts making it an exciting ride around the track.

Of course, when you get hungry, Adventure Landing provides four restaurants to choose from including The Wave Riders Grill, The Cantina Cafe and two others.

You can find Shipwreck Island at 1944 Beach Boulevard in Jacksonville Beach. Another location is also found on Blanding Boulevard, but this second location doesn't include a waterpark.

During the winter months, the park is open on a limited basis and depending on the weather. However, when the spring rolls around the regular hours of 10am to 8pm daily will return. Of course, the mini-golf and other attractions stay open longer than the water park.
