When people think of luxury living in Florida, they might think of Miami or Destin. Those are certainly beautiful areas, but you can get everything you need and more in Jacksonville. There are many luxury condos in the area, along with lovely, gated communities where you can own a single family home surrounded by natural beauty and all the amenities you could want. Don't underestimate what you can get there on your budget. It's one of the more affordable areas of Florida, based on the value you receive for what you pay for housing.
There's a lot to do, as well. Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens is a great place to spend the day, as is Amelia Island Plantation or the Museum of Science and History. There are concerts at various venues throughout the city, like Panic! At The Disco playing at Jack Rabbits on August 9th. You'll never be at a loss for things to do, and can return home after a fun day out to all the luxury and amenities you're looking for in a home. If it's condo living you want, you can get a hotel feel where you have a concierge, valet parking, high speed elevators, and everything else you can think of.
If you'd rather have a detached home, there are some amazing subdivisions like Marsh Landing, Sawgrass, or Queens Harbour where you can purchase what you want - or even have something built just for you. Golf courses, clubhouses, spas and saunas, pools, and workout rooms are all available. There's also social rooms and cafes in many of the common areas. Living right along the beach is a possibility, or you can move a little bit further inland and get a great view of the city. Homes upward of $1 million are common, but you can also find something that's more modestly priced and still very beautiful.
